Restore the damage after cleanup

Water damage reconstruction and repairs in St. Louis

The Flood Team helps homeowners, businesses, and property managers move from cleanup to recovery with repair and reconstruction support after water damage, flooded basements, sewage backups, mold issues, storm damage, and commercial property damage.

After water removal and drying, damaged materials may still need repair before the space feels complete again.

What is reconstruction after water damage?

Reconstruction is the repair phase that happens after water removal, cleanup, drying, and mitigation are complete. Water damage can affect drywall, flooring, ceilings, cabinets, trim, insulation, paint, and other materials. Once the property is dry and safe to repair, the damaged areas may need to be rebuilt or restored.

The goal is to help the property move from emergency cleanup to a finished space again. The Flood Team connects the water damage restoration process with repair support, so homeowners, businesses, and property managers do not have to manage every step separately.

When do you need reconstruction or repairs?

Not every water damage job ends after the water is removed. If building materials were damaged, removed, cut open, or exposed to moisture, repair work may be needed.

Drywall was cut or removed

Water-damaged drywall may need to be removed during mitigation, then replaced, finished, and painted after drying is complete.

Flooring is warped or damaged

Water can damage hardwood, laminate, carpet, padding, tile underlayment, and subfloor materials.

Ceilings show stains or sagging

Roof leaks, bathroom overflows, AC leaks, or upstairs water damage can affect ceilings and hidden materials above them.

Cabinets or trim were affected

Kitchen leaks, appliance leaks, and basement flooding can damage cabinets, baseboards, trim, and built-in materials.

Mold or sewage cleanup required removal

Mold remediation or sewage cleanup may require removing contaminated or damaged materials before repairs can begin.

The space is dry but unfinished

After mitigation, the property may be dry but still need repairs to return to normal use.

03.

Build the repair scope

The repair scope may include drywall, flooring, ceilings, cabinets, trim, paint, and related restoration work.

04.

Coordinate documentation

Photos, material details, and scope notes help support the insurance or approval process.

05.

Complete repairs

Damaged areas are repaired, replaced, finished, painted, and prepared for normal use again.

06.

The finished area is reviewed so the customer understands what was repaired and what was completed.

The Flood team did a very good job for the mitigation. We did not have any issue after the job was done. Blake gave an estimate, and final price was the same. We had another company estimated, and told us a loose estimate, may be more after the job is done and we have to sign that agreement. We didn't like that. Blake responded very quick and came in a few days after we signed the contract. He kept his words about days when he will be at the house. The other company told us at least a week or more. Blake's estimate was reasonable compared to the other company. He also gave us some knowledge about things which are covered under our insurance. I highly recommend him and the flood team. We will use them again if needed in the future.

The Flood Team did a very professional job mitigating the water from our 900 square feet basement. One of the rooms was finished, and they were able to save the carpet. They were able to tow away our damaged goods the same day and carried them all upstairs. They bricked all our furniture for the drying process and promptly and accurately recorded saturation eta the following days to be sure the basement was drying as expected. When the insurance adjuster came to view the damage, a flood team representative came back out to be here in case there were any technical questions about the mitigation process they executed.

Reached out to Flood Team and Thor came the same day. He was professional, knowledgeable, considerate and a hard worker. Once Thor determined the areas that water existed underneath the underlying floors, he pulled up all damaged flooring. He also took extra care when moving my furniture, he strategically set up humidifiers and industrial fans on two floors to speed up the drying process. He checked in daily to give updates. Highly recommend
