24/7 emergency dispatch

Water damage in a school or facility? Act fast.

Water damage in schools, campuses, gyms, cafeterias, offices, restrooms, mechanical rooms, and facility buildings can disrupt schedules, affect students and staff, damage materials, and create safety concerns. The Flood Team helps remove water, dry affected areas, reduce downtime, support repairs, and document the damage for insurance.

If water is spreading through classrooms, halls, offices, restrooms, or shared facility areas, restrict access to unsafe spaces and call for help right away.

What to do right now

First steps after school or facility water damage

Act fast: restrict unsafe areas, protect students, staff, records, and equipment if safe, avoid electrical hazards, document the damage, and call a 24/7 commercial water damage team before moisture spreads into floors, walls, ceilings, and shared spaces.

01.

Restrict access to affected areas

Keep students, staff, visitors, parents, vendors, and facility teams away from standing water, wet flooring, sagging ceilings, contaminated water, slippery surfaces, and wet electrical areas.

02.

Stop the source if safe

Shut off the water source, fixture, appliance, valve, or main water supply if you can do it safely. Do not enter unsafe mechanical, electrical, or flooded areas.

03.

Protect records and equipment if safe

Move computers, school records, office files, supplies, books, classroom materials, furniture, equipment, and high-value items away from wet areas if it is safe to do so.

04.

Avoid electrical hazards

Do not touch outlets, cords, computers, kitchen equipment, gym equipment, HVAC systems, breaker panels, ceiling lights, or electrical rooms near wet areas.

05.

Take photos if safe

Document standing water, the suspected source, classrooms, hallways, offices, restrooms, flooring, walls, ceilings, furniture, equipment, and damaged materials before cleanup begins.

06.

Call for school and facility water removal

Schools and facilities need fast, organized cleanup. Professional water removal, drying, moisture checks, and documentation can help reduce downtime and repair complexity.

Do not wait for the building to dry on its own. Water can spread through classrooms, halls, gyms, cafeterias, restrooms, offices, mechanical rooms, ceiling systems, flooring, and hidden spaces before the full damage is visible.

Will insurance help with this?

Coverage depends on your property policy, the source of the water damage, how sudden the loss was, the type of facility, affected materials, and whether plumbing, roof leaks, storm water, sewer backup, equipment failure, or long-term issues are involved. The Flood Team helps document photos, moisture readings, affected materials, cleanup steps, drying progress, and repair scope details so the claim process is easier to manage.

Why water damage in schools and facilities needs fast action

Water damage in schools and facilities can happen from burst pipes, pipe leaks, roof leaks, AC unit leaks, sprinkler discharge, restroom overflows, drain backups, sewer backups, appliance leaks, water heater failures, storm damage, or equipment-related leaks.

Even after the source is controlled, the building may still need water extraction, structural drying, moisture checks, mold prevention, damaged material removal, repair support, odor control, access coordination, and insurance documentation.

Schedules can be disrupted quickly
Water damage can affect classrooms, offices, gyms, cafeterias, restrooms, libraries, hallways, storage rooms, and shared facility areas.

Large buildings hide moisture

Water can move through ceiling systems, wall cavities, flooring, carpet, baseboards, mechanical rooms, and connected spaces before the full damage is visible.
Documentation matters
School and facility losses often need clear photos, moisture readings, affected material notes, cleanup records, drying progress, and repair scope support.

How we fix it

One team for the whole school and facility water damage emergency

We do more than remove visible water. The Flood Team helps control the source, extract water, dry affected areas, document the damage, and support repairs so the building can move from emergency to recovery.

Control the source

The pipe leak, roof leak, AC issue, sprinkler discharge, restroom overflow, drain backup, equipment leak, sewer backup, or related source needs to be controlled before full cleanup and drying can move forward.

Water extraction

Standing water is removed from classrooms, halls, offices, gyms, cafeterias, restrooms, mechanical rooms, storage areas, flooring, carpet, and affected rooms using professional equipment.

Structural drying

Air movers, dehumidifiers, and moisture checks help dry floors, walls, ceilings, carpet, cabinetry, insulation areas, storage rooms, and hidden building materials.

Restore and repair

After drying, damaged drywall, flooring, ceilings, trim, paint, insulation, cabinetry, classroom finishes, and facility materials may need repair or reconstruction.

Documentation that makes the process easier

The Flood Team helps document school and facility water damage with photos, moisture readings, affected material notes, cleanup details, drying progress, and repair scope support. We do not decide coverage, but we help make the restoration side of the claim easier to understand.

Photos of affected areas

The source, affected classrooms, hallways, offices, gyms, cafeterias, restrooms, equipment areas, flooring, walls, ceilings, furniture, and damaged materials can be documented before and during cleanup.

Moisture readings

Moisture checks help show where water traveled and what materials may need drying, removal, or repair.

Cleanup and drying notes

Water extraction, drying equipment, dehumidification, affected area notes, access notes, safety notes, and progress details can be recorded during the job.

Repair scope support

Damaged drywall, flooring, ceilings, trim, paint, insulation, cabinets, school finishes, and facility materials may need a clear repair scope after drying.

Every hour counts.

The faster water removal and drying begin, the lower the risk of hidden moisture, mold, damaged materials, and larger reconstruction needs.

The Flood team did a very good job for the mitigation. We did not have any issue after the job was done. Blake gave an estimate, and final price was the same. We had another company estimated, and told us a loose estimate, may be more after the job is done and we have to sign that agreement. We didn't like that. Blake responded very quick and came in a few days after we signed the contract. He kept his words about days when he will be at the house. The other company told us at least a week or more. Blake's estimate was reasonable compared to the other company. He also gave us some knowledge about things which are covered under our insurance. I highly recommend him and the flood team. We will use them again if needed in the future.

The Flood Team did a very professional job mitigating the water from our 900 square feet basement. One of the rooms was finished, and they were able to save the carpet. They were able to tow away our damaged goods the same day and carried them all upstairs. They bricked all our furniture for the drying process and promptly and accurately recorded saturation eta the following days to be sure the basement was drying as expected. When the insurance adjuster came to view the damage, a flood team representative came back out to be here in case there were any technical questions about the mitigation process they executed.

Reached out to Flood Team and Thor came the same day. He was professional, knowledgeable, considerate and a hard worker. Once Thor determined the areas that water existed underneath the underlying floors, he pulled up all damaged flooring. He also took extra care when moving my furniture, he strategically set up humidifiers and industrial fans on two floors to speed up the drying process. He checked in daily to give updates. Highly recommend
